Pies, Tarts, Galettes

Pie in all of it’s variations is one of the greatest treats we know of. Pie, tarts, galettes, crostatas, quiches, call it whatever you want. Crispy, flaky crust filled with fresh, seasonal fruit, a delicious curd, pecans and bourbon, or something more savory like tomatoes or mushrooms, potatoes, and onions  with or without eggs and cheese is seriously good.

 

 

 

A few ideas for pies or tarts:

  • Pie filled with any fresh, seasonal fruit like apples, peaches, strawberries, or mulberries, or with seasonal produce like tomatoes, corn, okra, potatoes and more. Big enough to feed a table or small enough to fit in your hand.
  • A Pecan Bourbon pie, Chess pie, or other Southern delicacies
  • Fresh tomatoes and our tomato jam
  • Pears, basil, and our cucumber jam
  • Quiches with fresh greens or mushrooms with local cheese and eggs

A few ideas of curds to use as a filling:

  • lemon, lime, grapefruit or other citrus
  • blackberry, strawberry, raspberry, blueberry or other seasonal berries
  • tomato curd made with sun gold tomatoes
  • basil, mint, or other herbs
  • coffee

This list is but the tiniest sliver of all the possible options. Please contact us with any ideas. A good challenge is infinitely more fun then baking the same thing over and over again.
